CRISPY HONEY PRAWNS
- 500g prawns
- 500g Cornstarch
- 500g Plain flour
- 1 x small baking powder
- 1L cold soda water
- 2L vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 lemon
- 200g honey
- 100g glucose
- 1 x small bottle light soy
- 1 x small bottle Chinese cooking wine
- Vermicelli rice noodles
- White sesame seeds
- Chives
EQUIPMENT
- 3 x medium mixing bowl
- Whisk
- Small pot or deep pan, for deep frying
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- 1 x small fry pan
- Knife
- Chopping board
METHOD
- Season prawns
- Toss in cornstarch
- Make batter and dredge prawns
- Deep fry prawns
- Make honey sauce
- Toss in sauce
- Sieve or slotted spoon
