Growing Tomatoes
- Did you know that if you don’t use quality soil and soil booster, your tomatoes nutrient levels can suffer?
- Tomatoes are a great indicator of soil health, they’ll let you know if something isn’t right.
- There are two different types of tomatoes: indeterminate and determinate.
- Indeterminate tomatoes are truss varieties such as beef steak, cherry tomato and gross lisse.
- Inteterminate tomatoes are going to need staking. You have a couple of options, like Grip n Go kits or creating your own with dry bamboo stakes.
- Determinate varieties are great for pots and smaller properties due to their bush-like growth.
- To keep pests away, apply a controlled release fertaliser with organics which will help sustain growth and flower momentum.
