Growing Tomatoes

  • Did you know that if you don’t use quality soil and soil booster, your tomatoes nutrient levels can suffer?
  • Tomatoes are a great indicator of soil health, they’ll let you know if something isn’t right.
  • There are two different types of tomatoes: indeterminate and determinate.
  • Indeterminate tomatoes are truss varieties such as beef steak, cherry tomato and gross lisse.
  • Inteterminate tomatoes are going to need staking. You have a couple of options, like Grip n Go kits or creating your own with dry bamboo stakes.
  • Determinate varieties are great for pots and smaller properties due to their bush-like growth.
  • To keep pests away, apply a controlled release fertaliser with organics which will help sustain growth and flower momentum.
